Soy is NOT an option

Sorry it has been longer than usual. Internet down then PC crashed and now my external hard drive has died. Naturally I am broke so it will take time to recover completely.

Well, I had a brilliant idea this evening. I have been craving something fried. I had thawed some pork chops and was sick to death of stir fry so I decided to try some soy flour to keep the carbs down. I mean what could it hurt?

Let me tell you - it was disgusting. Soy flour is extremely fine and it bound on thickly but the taste was horrible. I can't even begin to convey how nasty it was. There was a burnt flavor (like bad soy milk of the old days). It started like regular breading on a chicken nugget but morphed immediately into something mealy then thick and gummy.

Guess I will have to just go back to regular flour and plan my carbs better on fried food days.
